The 6-4, 275 pound lineman is still waiting on his first offer, but he is receiving significant interest from Clemson, South Carolina, Duke, Wake and Tennessee. Baker recently camped at Clemson and South Carolina, and he is hoping that his camp performances may earn him an offer.

Baker enjoyed his visit to the Clemson camp earlier this summer. "I liked it a lot. I liked being able to work with coach West. At the South Carolina camp they split us into groups and I didn't get the one on one time with the coach."

What factors will Baker consider when selecting where he will play football? "I want a good football team. I want good academics so I will have something to fall back on."

Baker ran into current Tigers Dustin Fry and Nathan Bennett in the weight room at Summerville High School this week. "Yeah I know Dustin. Just saw him yesterday. I saw Dustin and Nathan in the weight room at school."

The impressive lineman is not sure when he will make a commitment. "I'm not sure. It depends on how much I like the schools that offer. If the right school offers it may not take long."

"I plan on going to a couple of Clemson and South Carolina games this fall. The last game I went to at Clemson was against the Citadel. I haven't been to a South Carolina game in about 4 years."

We will keep you updated on this outstanding prospect from the South Carolina, right up through signing day 2004.
