On location: Marcus Edmond

HOPKINS, S.C. - Marcus Edmond, who holds three offers, could be the top cornerback in South Carolina's 2013 class.

CB Marcus Edmond Profile

The Lower Richland High School junior has picked up offers from Arizona State, Wake Forest and N.C. State. He thinks Duke could be next to offer.

Clemson, N.C. State, Duke, North Carolina and Alabama have stopped by Lower Richland High School so far this spring. Edmund visited Clemson in March on Junior Day.

"I might not do camps this summer. If they've offered, there's no reason to go to the camp. I just might take visits," he told CUTigers at his school last week.

Who leads?

"My favorite is probably North Carolina State, right now."

Several factors have the Wolfpack out front.

"I like the team. Most of the seniors are leaving, so there would be more opportunity for me to play right when I come in," Edmond said. "I've just got to do well. They've got my major -- engineering, and a good coaching staff."

The quarterback at Lower Richland, Edmond rushed for over 900 yards and scored seven touchdowns. He also threw for nearly 700 yards with seven touchdown passes.
