Florida WR to camp in Clemson

Months before the start of the spring evaluation period, Clemson sent an offer to one of the top rising junior wide receivers in Florida.

The Tigers sent the offer to Jacob McCrary of Coral Reef High School in Miami.

"I got the Clemson offer in February, sometime during February. I can't remember when, but sometime during February. I was at a 7-on-7. I did a real good job and that next week Clemson offered me," he recently told CUTigers.

Clemson is scheduled to send coaches by sometime this week, the final week they'll be on the road for the spring evaluation period. Miami, Florida, Marshall, Louisville and USF have already stopped through.

McCrary will hit camps at Clemson, Florida State, Alabama and Miami.

The 6-foot, 175-pound prospect is still learning about Clemson.

"I don't really know much about the school. I know they have a great system, a great program, great academics -- I've been doing my research. They had a very good team this year," he said.

Clemson, Florida State, USF, Louisville, Kansas State, Marshall and Ole Miss have offered.

Who leads?

"Right now, everybody is pretty much the same."

As a sophomore, McCrary had 19 catches for 145 yards and seven touchdowns.
