Barber has summer visits in mind

Three-star running back Peyton Barber will take several visits later this summer. Included among his destination spots is Clemson.

The Milton High School [Alpharetta, Ga.] rising senior recently discussed his plans with CUTigers.

"I plan on going to Clemson sometime this summer. I'm not 100 percent sure on the exact date I'm going, but I know I'm going to visit," Barber said. "I want to visit Arizona State and Ole Miss."

In his previous interview with CUTigers, Barber listed Clemson in his top-three.

Is that still the case?

"Yes sir."

Barber mentioned Arizona State as another school that has a place in his top group.

"Pretty much, [Arizona State running backs coach Larry Porter is kind of like [Clemson running backs coach Tony] Elliott. He's really straight-forward with you," Barber said. "He really doesn't try to sugar-coat it or anything."

Several schools stopped by Milton earlier this month to check in on the No. 66 running back in the country. Clemson sent Elliott.

"Everyone from UNC to Penn State to Arizona State, UCLA, TCU, pretty much every school," Barber said.

After spending most of his junior season on the sideline with a high-ankle sprain, Barber rushed for 363 yards on 69 carries. Top Stories
