OT Chris Griffin Profile
Wakulla High School [Crawfordville, Fla.] rising senior Chris Griffin got the word just a few days ago.
"Our recruiting coach at our high school sent me the number and told me to call Clemson. I called them and they offered me," Griffin recently told CUTigers.
Scott was on the other end of the phone call.
"He said he liked the way I played and was telling me that I'm a good run blocker. He thinks that I would fit in well with their offense," Griffin said.
What does he know about the Tigers?
"I actually know a lot about Clemson. They're always a good team. They won the ACC last year and they're always a very competitive team."
A visit could be in the works within the next few weeks.
"I'm hoping to go up there sometime in June or early July," Griffin said.
He added, "I'm hoping to take visits to Clemson, South Carolina, Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt."
Along with Clemson, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Maryland, USF, FAU, FIU and UCF have offered.
Griffin has no favorites.
"I'm really just trying to consider everybody," he said.
