Clemson, South Carolina offer 2014 DT

It was a productive week for Carvers Bay High School defensive tackle Naquez Pringle. The rising junior picked up offers from both in-state schools.

Pringle was in Clemson from Tuesday to Thursday for the Dabo Swinney Football Camp. His next visit was to South Carolina.

"I just found out a couple of hours ago, but [Clemson] said they had given it to me since Thursday," Pringle told CUTigers on Sunday. "I got another offer yesterday from USC."

After his three-day camp stay in Tigertown, he was happy to receive the Clemson offer.

"I worked hard for it. Hard work paid off for me. Those three days of work, they liked what they saw and they just gave it to me. That was great," Pringle said.

Working with defensive tackles coach Dan Brooks was a good experience.

"It was an honor to work with one of the top defensive [line] coaches," Pringle said. "He taught me things that I didn't know. It was good to get to know the coaches, and see what the environment was around them. It made me feel like I was right at home."

Like the Clemson offer, he was happy to pick one up from South Carolina.

"It was tough to get it, but I got it…it was an honor to get one from both Clemson and USC," Pringle said.

There could be three more camp stops this summer. He's looking at visiting Alabama, LSU and Tennessee.

As a sophomore, Pringle recorded 40 tackles, two sacks and recovered two fumbles.
