Clemson offers top '14 TE

Before Jeb Blazevich left the Clemson campus on Saturday afternoon, the Tigers' coaching staff did what they'd promised -- extended an offer.

The manner in which it was given impressed the rising junior from Charlotte Christian.

"Coach [Danny] Pearman called me over and said, ‘Let's go talk to coach [Dabo] Swinney," Blazevich told CUTigers on Sunday. "[Pearman] told me before that they were going to offer me at camp, so I sort of knew what to expect.

"I went alongside coach Swinney and he told me. He said, ‘The reason we waited is because I wanted to do it face-to-face, man-to-man.' I really respected [that]."

Blazevich was happy to add the offer to an already impressive list. Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio State and South Carolina have also offered.

"I really don't feel like there have been many schools that have just been a notch in the belt," he said. "Clemson, it's a great university. The offense is great. I just want to see how things go after this season, see where they're at and see how the season goes, before I make any decisions."

Trips to Ohio State, Georgia and LSU are scheduled for later this summer. Clemson was his first camp stop of the summer.

Last season, Blazevich had 32 receptions for 513 yards and six touchdowns. He also had 69 tackles on defense. Top Stories
