The offer went to Lake Taylor High School [Norfolk] wide receiver Jamil Kamara.

"My coach told me about it. My coach told me today. I went to camp there last week," Kamara told CUTigers on Wednesday night.

He added, "It went well [at camp]. I think I did pretty well. Coach said they were impressed by me."

Kamara was impressed with what he saw around town.

"It was real nice. It was a nice stadium, nice campus, school. I liked the weight room. All of that was real nice, the locker room," he said.

Wide receivers coach Jeff Scott made an impression on the 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect.

"That was great. He's a good coach. He works with you real good," Kamara said.

Later this summer, he hopes to visit South Carolina, LSU and Texas. A trip to Virginia could be in the works later this weekend.

As a sophomore, Kamara had 40 catches for 500 yards and three touchdowns.
