Clemson leads for Georgia WR

Three-star wide receiver Johnathan Howard has over 10 offers to his name. But he's focused on where he is right now.

And that's at Wilcox County High School in Rochelle, Ga.

Howard has offers from Clemson, Kentucky, North Carolina, Arkansas State, Louisville, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, N.C. State and UCF.

His leader has remained unchanged.

"When I go there, I just feel like I'm at home. I feel like everybody around me is family. The tradition they have up there is nice," he told CUTigers in a recent interview. "It's somewhere I could spend my four years, outside of football.

"With football, it's a great organization. They have great coaches there. Coach [Robbie] Caldwell and I have a good relationship. Coach [Jeff] Scott and I, we have a good relationship. They seem like they're on me more than any other college."

There is no timetable for a decision.

"I'm still kind of open [to when a decision will be made]," he said. "Clemson is, pretty much, in the lead, by a large margin."

Howard, who originally planned a Clemson visit during the Dabo Swinney Football Camp, was unable to make it the trip. But he does plan to visit Tigertown later this summer.

Most of his time is spent working out at the school.

"I'm pretty much just working out…getting a lot of work in everyday," Howard said.

As a junior, he had 28 catches for 837 yards and eight touchdowns. Top Stories
