One of the top defensive backs in South Carolina's 2013 class spent several days in Clemson for the Dabo Swinney Football Camp.

Allendale-Fairfax High School senior Jahnari Devoe enjoyed his camp stop in Clemson.

"It was a great experience," he told CUTigers recently. "You couldn't take off plays or anything. You had to go hard the whole time."

Devoe spent most of his time around defensive backs coach Charlie Harbison.

"He was saying, to keep playing hard and don't give up. Stay ready and do my best at everything I do," Devoe said.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound prospect picked up on a few techniques that he thinks will help him in 2012.

"The way that they showed us how to recover, just showed us different ways to cover," he said.

Aside from the Clemson camp, Devoe camped at Appalachian State and Coastal Carolina. He has no other plans for the rest of the summer.

South Carolina State, North Carolina Central, North Carolina A&T and Newberry have offered.

As a junior, Devoe had 77 tackles, seven interceptions, three of which were returned for touchdowns. Top Stories
