NJ Running Back Favoring Clemson

Defensive coordinator John Lovett and the Clemson Tigers continue to venture up north in their recruiting efforts. Today we take a look at Winslow Township (NJ) running back Shonn Green, who has five offers and three schools at the top of his list.

"Iowa, Maryland, Syracuse, Clemson, and Wisconsin have all offered me," says the 5-foot-11, 190 pounder. "I have not decided on a favorite, but I am liking Clemson. My grandparents are from South Carolina, and I like that area. I have been down to visit them many times."

Aside from Clemson, Green has Wisconsin and Iowa rounding out his top three. The rising senior ran for over 1500 yards as a junior after rushing for 1200 yards as a sophomore.

"Not much else is going on right now. I went to the Rutgers camp, but I only got to stay for a day. I do not want to rush into anything, so it will be no time soon. Maybe that is why not much else is happening."

Green is another prospect from the Garden state that is being recruited by Clemson defensive coordinator John Lovett. You might remember the Tigers adding a New Jersey running back in the 2003 class in Brandon Nolen.

We will continue to keep you updated on Shonn Green, right up through signing day.
