The Opening: Shaquille Wiggins

BEAVERTON, Ore. - Scout caught up with Shaquille Wiggins at The Opening and he told us that Mark Richt sent him to Oregon with a job. Get the latest here.

"I talked to Coach [Mark] Richt right before we came out here to The Opening and he told me to keep an eye on the commitments and to make sure they are all Georgia," said a laughing Shaquille Wiggins.

"I told him I would take of everything and we are all having a great time. I have been around Tray Matthews a lot and talked to Tramel Terry, Brice Ramsey, and all the guys out here. We are having a lot of fun."

Like many of the committed prospects across the country, he too will be visiting other schools. His commitment to UGA is a strong one, but he stills wants to explore his options.

"I think I will be visiting Auburn, Clemson, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, and Florida at some point. It may be in July or may be later. I know I will be at Florida for Friday Night Lights though in late July."

The doesn't mean the four-star cornerback out of Tyrone (Ga.) Sandy Creek is backing off of his commitment to the Dawgs in any way though.

"I am 100-percent committed to Georgia, there is no doubt about that, but I still want to take some visits," he said.

Wiggins is currently the no. 10 cornerback in the country according to Top Stories
