What happened
The win, Clemson's sixth of the season, made the Tigers bowl eligible for the 12th season in a row. It would also be their only road victory of the 2010 campaign.

Parker, who had an efficiency rating of 222.9, had touchdown passes went to Jaron Brown [40 yards] and DeAndre Hopkins [2].

Jamie Harper rushed for 142 yards, including a 63-yard touchdown run that gave the Tigers a 30-3 fourth quarter lead.

Da'Quan Bowers had two sacks against Wake Forest.
Clemson's defense was solid all afternoon. Wake Forest crossed the 50-yard line only twice in the first half. The Demon Deacons didn't score until Jimmy Newman hit a 45-yard field goal with 8:38 left to play.

Wake Forest finished with 205 yards of total offense, 79 of which were on a fourth quarter touchdown drive.

Chandler Catanzaro nearly outscored Wake Forest with his three field goals [43, 22, 32].

The stakes
A loss to Wake Forest would have put even more pressure on Dabo Swinney to win the following week's showdown with South Carolina.

Before and after
The Tigers needed to win two games that November to become bowl eligible. They took care of business in the first week against N.C. State before dropping in a tough road trip to Florida State.

Eligible for postseason play after the win over Wake Forest, Clemson went on to lose the regular season finale to South Carolina and the Meineke Car Care Bowl to South Florida.
