Virginia Beach (Va.) Bayside running back Taquan Mizzell holds offers from all over the country and was one of 150 prospects invited to The Opening at Nike headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon.
"I did pretty good, I helped my team put away some wins," said Mizzell. "We were the number one or two seed. I performed pretty well."
Mizzell has trimmed his list, locking in three schools and two others that just made the cut.
"I have three of my top five, Virginia, West Virginia and Clemson," said Mizzell. "Then Ohio State and Notre Dame."
He also has a timeline for when he would like to have his decision out of the way.
"I haven't seen any yet, so I am going to try and get to some visits in this summer," said Mizzell. "I want to get the decision done before the season."
The 5'10" 180lbs back knows what he will be looking for in his eventual college program.
"Coaches that I can relate to and I feel comfortable around, that can help me get to the next level," said Mizzell. "Playing time and the education as well."
