Dye commits to Clemson

The Clemson coaching staff has reeled in its second four-star verbal commitment of the day. This time it's four-star running back Tyshon Dye.

RB Tyshon Dye Profile

Dye, who has been on campus for the Clemson's inaugural All In Cookout, is ranked as the No. 19 running back prospect in the nation by Scout.com and has also been designated four stars.

As a junior, he rushed for 1,500 yards and 20 touchdowns.

The Georgia native is the second four-star commitment for the Tigers from the Peach state today. Earlier today, the Tigers secured the verbal commitment of four-star wide receiver DeMarcus Robinson.

He recently told CUTigers, "I like Clemson. I like that it's a small town, like where I'm from. I like that it's close to home. I like the coaches. The coaches are pretty cool and they're straight forward with me."

Dye's primary recruiter to Clemson is Clemson running backs coach Tony Elliott.

He chose the Tigers over offers from many schools in the south, but had listed Clemson, Auburn and Tennessee as his top three schools as recently as last week.

More to come on this breaking story shortly.
