The Cardinal Newman School [Columbia] senior shooting guard was notified of the offer on Saturday.

"It felt good. It's definitely a confidence booster. I've always liked Clemson. It feels good, because they're an ACC school," he told CUTigers in a recent interview.

Ajukwa was last in Clemson for the Big Shots AAU tournament. He's visited Tigertown several times.

"I think it's pretty cool. I like it. It looks good every time I go up there," he said.

The 6-foot-5 senior has over 20 offers to his name, most of which are from schools in the Southern Conference and Big South.

Along with Clemson, he's also picked up offers from East Carolina, UTEP and Miami of Ohio.

Wake Forest, N.C. State, Cincinnati and Miami are also expressing interest.

"I think Wake Forest, N.C. State and Cincinnati will [offer], hopefully," Ajukwa said.

As a junior at Cardinal Newman, Ajukwa averaged 24 points, nine rebounds, three assists, three steals and three blocks.

He plans to sign in the early signing period, later this fall. Top Stories
