Big recruiting weekend for Clemson

Despite the 12:30 kickoff, several highly touted prospects are expected to be on campus Saturday when Clemson debuts in Death Valley against Ball State.

Among the headlining guests is the trio of commitments from Grayson High School in Georgia.

The nation's No. 1 prospect, defensive end Robert Nkemdiche, has planned a visit to Clemson with fellow commitments Wayne Gallman and David Kamara. Also expected to join the trio is teammate Ryan Carter, a 2013 defensive back.

Nkemdiche's mother was quoted by ESPN in an interview earlier this week that she felt as though her son was pressured into his commitment to Clemson, but Robert himself maintains he is strong in his commitment to the Tigers.

He is still contemplating visits to several west coast schools, including UCLA, Southern California and Oregon.

Another big-time visitor from Georgia will be the nation's top defensive tackle, Montravius Adams, who is set to be joined in Tigertown with his mother. It will be the first visit to Clemson for Adams' mother.

Adams, who has Clemson and Auburn as his top two schools, was at the Georgia Dome last weekend to witness the ACC Tigers' 26-19 win.

At least four other Clemson commitments will be on campus as well. Ben Boulware, a 2013 linebacker from nearby T.L. Hanna, will make the short trip over. So Will Daniel senior linebacker D.J. Greenlee and junior running back Jae'lon Oglesby. Scheduled to make the ride up from the Atlanta area is 2013 wide receiver Ryan Jenkins.

Quarterback Deshaun Watson, who's committed to the 2014 class, could make the trip up from Gainesville. If he does, 2014 Georgia commitments Demarre Kitt and Nick Glass might join him.

Another highly sought after junior, tight end Jeb Blazevich, is on the list of scheduled visitors.

Blazevich will be one of several highly sought after juniors making an appearance on campus.
Offered sophomore athlete Kelly Bryant plans to attend the Ball State game. So will 2013 greyshirt offer, Adrien Dunn, a wide receiver/return specialist from Daniel.

Other notable guests include:
Quaven Ferguson, 2014 DT, Easley
C.J. Fuller, 2014 ATH, Easley
Jawanza Adams, 2014 DB, Woodmont
Christian Taylor, 2014 OT, White Knoll
Demetrius Anthony, 2014 QB Christ Church
Chase Nelson, 2014 RB Chattahoochee [Ga.]
Freddie Phillips, 2015 WR/CB Pelion

The Clemson basketball staff will host a pair of official visitors this weekend.
