Did Quinton Brown Commit?

Quinton Brown made an unofficial visit to Clemson earlier today and hung out with preseason All-American cornerback Justin Miller, and spoke extensively with Coach Swinney, Coach Lovett, and Tommy Bowden. There's just one question left to be answered, did the Maryland star commit on the spot?

"I like it a lot. We got there around 6:00 last night. I toured the campus and looked at the facilities. I also got to talk to coaching staff. I talked with Coach Lovett, Coach Swinney and Coach Bowden."

Justin Miller was Brown's tour guide for the visit. "I talked with Justin Miller. He showed me around. He's a cool guy. I had fun with him."

Brown's mother was also impressed with the visit to Clemson. "She liked it a lot also," stated Brown.

What did the coaches tell the talented athlete? "They said I could be a good addition. They think I could play early. They talked to me about playing offense as well as defense. They want me to play wherever I can help the team."

The Fredrick Douglas star did not commit to the Tigers during his visit. "I think I'm going to have to wait a little while longer. I'm glad I got a better look at Clemson. Clemson and Syracuse are still about even. I feel like I can play early at both schools. I'm not sure when I'm going to make a decision."

Brown should have a lot of time to think about his decision over the next few days as he is driving to West Virginia for a visit and then will have a long ride home to discuss things with his mother. We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding athlete from Maryland, right up through signing day 2004.
