Litchfield High School
Gasden, Alabama

The 6-0, 245 pound prospect did not have high expectations for his visit as the Tigers have not offered yet, but he left town hoping the Tigers join the offer list that includes South Carolina, Mississippi State, Mississippi and Auburn. "I liked it very much. I was very impressed. I really liked how they keep their players working on the books. They really care about you."

Johnson currently has Clemson in his top 5 but the 3 leaders are Auburn, South Carolina and LSU. Where will the Tigers rank if they offer? "If they do offer that will put them right there with the top 3."
The talented prospect was able to spend some time in the stadium with Coach Dabo Swinney and his teammate Harris. "I liked the stadium. I enjoyed walking down on the field."

What did the coaches tell you during the visit? "They told me I'm on their list. They said they would to do some more talking. They said I'm near the top of their list but they're trying to figure out what position. They are looking at linebacker and defensive line." Johnson currently plays linebacker but may move to defensive line for his collegiate career.

The Litchfield High School star felt good for his teammate who committed to the Tigers this morning. "I was happy for him," stated Johnson. The defensive star would like to play college ball with Harris. "He's my cousin you know. I would definitely like to play with him."

The question on everyone's mind right now is did his teammate's commitment make him want to go ahead and make his decision? "To a certain extent," said Johnson. "I want to see what everyone has to offer first."

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding defensive player from Alabama, right up through signing day 2004.
