SG Austin Ajukwa Profile
Ajukwa pulled the trigger on Thursday afternoon while in Clemson on an unofficial visit.
"I like the amount of interest they showed in me. They, obviously, want me to go to their school. They have my best interest in mind, my parents and I can tell," Ajukwa told CUTigers.
He added, "I like the way they want to use me. It's how I want to be able to play in college, because I want to be an NBA player."
Brad Brownell and Earl Grant conducted an in-home visit on Monday.
"It was good. It was just with my AAU coach and my parents, all of us. It was good. We just talked about the academics, the campus, all that stuff," Ajukwa said.
After Clemson was South Carolina. The Gamecocks finished second.
Frank Martin had an in-home visit on Wednesday.
"I like coach Martin and I like what he has to say. I like the way he coaches," Ajukwa said.
But, in the end, Clemson won the instate battle. Ajukwa got the "gut feeling" he was looking for, and picked the Tigers.
As a junior, Ajukwa averaged 24 points, nine rebounds, three assists, three steals and three blocks.
Since Clemson's offer, South Carolina, Boston College and Virginia Tech offered.
