Weekend visitors in Clemson

For the second consecutive weekend, Clemson will have a number of visitors on campus.

Several uncommitted prospects will be in Clemson on Saturday for the 3:00 PM matchup with Furman.

Headlining that group is former Florida offensive line commitment Joshua Outlaw. A four-star, Outlaw is ranked by Scout.com as the No. 13 guard in the class of 2013. Arkansas and Miami are among the other schools to contact Outlaw since his decommitment from Florida.

Joining Outlaw in Clemson will be fellow King High School [Lithonia, Ga.] teammates, two-star wide receiver DeMarquis Polite-Bray and two-star safety Jeremy Tyler.

Charlotte Catholic linebacker/running back Elijah Hood will make his first visit to Clemson for the 2012 season. Clemson tight ends coach Danny Pearman scouted Hood last Friday night. The Tigers have offered Hood as a linebacker.

Elijah Hood is considered one of the south's top prospects for the 2014 class.
A number of other schools are also in the running for the 6-foot-1, 210-prospect. North Carolina, Wake Forest, South Carolina, Clemson, Virginia, and Virginia Tech are also under consideration by Hood.

Woodmont defensive back Jawanza Adams will make his first visit of the season. The 2014 prospect had originally planned to visit last weekend, but had to cancel last minute. Easley's 2014 defensive tackle Quaven Ferguson is also visiting on Saturday after making the quick trip over last weekend as well.

Several Clemson commitments are expected to be in on Saturday. Daniel's Jae'lon Oglesby [2014 running back] and D.J. Greenlee [2013 linebacker], plus 2013 defensive end Dane Rogers and 2013 running back Wayne Gallman.

The Clemson basketball staff will also host Buford High School [Georgia] three-star small forward A.J. Davis on an official visit this weekend.
