CB Jawanza Adams Profile
The Woodmont High School junior was scheduled to visit a week earlier for the home opener but was unable to attend. Last Saturday's trip made up for the missed game.
"It was good. I had a good time," he said, in a recent interview with CUTigers. "The atmosphere, it's like a family atmosphere. Everybody gets along."
Over the years, Adams has been to "about four or five" Clemson games.
"The atmosphere, it's rowdy. There's a lot of support from the fans," Adams said.
He hopes to visit to several other schools later this fall.
"I'm trying to head to Duke in the next couple of weeks. Mississippi State, they invited me over. I'm going to try to get there, too. I'm going to try to get to Va. Tech sometime soon," Adams said.
Arizona and Nebraska have also been in contact.
The 5-foot-10, 170-pound prospects thinks an ACC school could be first to offer.
"Probably Va. Tech or Duke first or maybe Clemson, maybe Mississippi State," Adams said.
In the first quarter of Woodmont's second game of the season, Adams sprained his ankle. He's missed two full games but has 10 tackles, an interception and a pass breakup.
Adams, who expects to return this week against Westside, had 43 tackles, four pass breakups and two interceptions as a sophomore.
As a freshman, he had 46 tackles and an interception.
