Bryant Adds Clemson Offer

Jamar Bryant is another multi-dimensional athlete considering the Clemson Tigers. ACC Recruiting analyst Miller Safrit caught up with the North Carolina athlete and got the latest on his offer list and his top 5 in this report.

"I took two unofficial visits this summer," says the 6-foot-3, 193 pounder. "I went to Clemson and North Carolina, and they were pretty nice. My one written offer is from Clemson, and I have verbal offers from North Carolina, Michigan, and Virginia."

Two of those schools Bryant lists as his favorites, and other school is more than just high on his list.

"My favorites are probably Michigan and Virginia. They have been the most interested in me, and they all seem to want me to play wide receiver. I really want NC State to become interested and offer. If they did, then I would still commit to them soon after that."

While Bryant is an accomplished receiver, as he showed at this year's Nike Camp, he is also a very good quarterback for his nationally ranked Richmond County team.

"We recently had our 7-on-7 passing tournament. I think I did pretty well, throwing one interception in two days and thirteen games overall."

Bryant played three positions for Richmond as a junior (quarterback, running back, and wide receiver), but teams and even Bryant himself envision a physical wide receiver with a good nose for the ball and a strong presence in one-on-one coverage.

Bryant is being recruited by Clemson quarterbacks coach Mike O'Cain. We will continue to keep you updated on Jamar Bryant, right up through signing day 2004. Top Stories
