DT Kwamelle Barnes Profile
Saluda High School junior DT Kwamelle Barnes recently caught up with CUTigers to share his thoughts on the experience.
"It was amazing," he said. "I've been up there the past few times for junior day and the spring game. This was my first regular season game. It was a good experience. it was good to say what everybody and everything was like around Clemson for the first game, what all happened."
While in town, he spoke with defensive backs coach Charlie Harbison and defensive tackles coach Dan Brooks.
"Coach Cheese was just saying to keep doing what I'm doing, to make sure to keep my grades up in school. That was basically it," Barnes said.
Later this fall, Barnes would like to visit South Carolina. Aside from a trip to Columbia, he has nothing else in mind.
The 6-foot-4, 280-pound prospect has spent time playing both offensive and defensive tackle this season for Saluda.
As a sophomore, Barnes had 37 tackles, three sacks, seven tackles for loss and two recovered fumbles.
