One of the top athletes in North Carolina's class of 2014 made his first visit to Clemson for the Virginia Tech game.

Gray's Creek High School [Hope Mills, N.C.] was impressed with his first trip to Tigertown.

"It was great. I've always wanted to go there, but I never I thought I would, but I ended up going there," Gibson recently told CUTigers.

The 6-foot-4, 190-pound prospect was impressed with what he saw from the Tigers on the field.

"At first, I was like, they were faster on TV. Then, I saw Sammy Watkins get the ball and then my eyes couldn't even keep up at first, because he was so fast," Gibson said. "Everybody out there was just moving faster."

He's also visited North Carolina and N.C. State this season. A trip to Duke is on tap for this weekend's game. Gibson also hopes to visit Louisville this season.

Several schools have expressed interest. N.C. State was his first offer and he thinks North Carolina could be next.

The Wolfpack like Gibson as an athlete -- a wide receiver or safety -- so does Clemson. North Carolina will offer him as a safety.

"I like playing offense, but it doesn't matter to me, really," he said.

So far this season, Gibson has 65 tackles and four interceptions. He's also scored three touchdowns.
