CB William Likely Profile
Defensive coordinator Brent Venables recently reached out to the No. 29 cornerback in the class of 2013.
"I talked to coach Venables on Facebook, he's supposed to be coming down, probably to the game or [this] week," Likely told CUTigers last week.
Venables offered Likely not long after he arrived to Clemson from Oklahoma. In the last few weeks, Clemson has made a serious push for him.
"They're trying to recruit me hard, trying to get me to come, trying to give me more information about the school. They're trying to have my best interest in mind," Likely said.
The interest has been reciprocated.
"Yeah, I'm considering them," he said.
What stands out about Clemson?
"That's a program they've been on a winning streak. They have a great education program. They have that atmosphere up there and they play to win games."
Likely has taken official visits to Wake Forest and Maryland. Several other schools remain under consideration for Likely, who plans to enroll early.
"I have to talk about it with my parents, but just chose a school that will benefit me for the next three or four years, and if I'm very comfortable at the school," he said.
