DE Kentavius Street Profile
The offer went out to Rose High School's Kentavius Street.
"I called coach Dan Brooks for the first time, because he was talking to me on Facebook. I talked to him for the first time," Street told CUTigers in a recent interview.
"We talked, then I talked to coach [Brent] Venables. Then he talked to me, told me I was a great athlete and said he'd love to get me here," Street added. "He believes I'd be great on their d-line and just thought that I would be very productive. That's how it all came. He said they were going to go ahead and offer me."
Duke, Virginia Tech, Florida State, Ohio State, East Carolina, Maryland and North Carolina have also offered.
"Right now, it's up to Clemson and Virginia Tech."
He added, "I just love the ACC. It's close to home and they have a great program."
Duke hosted Street for a visit earlier this season.
"I know they have a very good academic program," he said.
The 6-foot-4, 250-pound prospect has yet to visit Tigertown.
"I haven't been there before, but I watch them on TV when they play football," Street said.
What stands out about the Tigers?
"I love the speed, because they have speed at every position and I just love that, because I know that speed kills."
As a junior, Street finished with 93 tackles, 13 sacks, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble, a blocked punt and a blocked field goal.
