The Legacy Charter sophomore made the ride down to Tigertown with his mom and two coaches on Dec. 5.

Evans returned home with an offer from Brad Brownell.

"I felt really good about the offer. I went down there and it was in coach Brownell's office. We talked for a little bit," Evans recently told CUTigers.

The 6-foot, 165-pound point guard was back in town that Saturday to watch Clemson play Arizona, his first game experience in Littlejohn Coliseum.

"I really liked the environment. That crowd was really getting into it. It was a really hostile environment," Evans said.

Along with Clemson, Cincinnati has offered. Several other schools have expressed interest. Florida State, Colorado State, South Carolina, Miami, Virginia and Virginia Tech have inquired about Evans.

He has no leaders.

"I'm just waiting to get a little further along, really," Evans said.

At Legacy this season, he's scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and four steals per game.

As a freshman at Southside High School, he averaged 13 points, six assists, five steals and four rebounds a game. Top Stories
