The Dooly County High School [Vienna, Ga.] senior spoke with CUTigers on Monday night.

Ranked by as the No. 3 defensive tackle in the class of 2013, Adams has visited Clemson several times over the last two years, including a trip up for the regular season finale against South Carolina.

The most recent trip, he said, was similar to the others.

"I had a good time up there, me and momma and my sister," Adams said.

He arrived on Friday and stayed through Sunday afternoon.

"I talked to the coaches, went to the banquet, met Brian Dawkins and met all the players -- I'd already met all the players," Adams said. "It was really to see the coaches, me and my momma, and get closer to them."

What did mom think of the visit?

"She liked it a lot."

Adams also shared the details from his 1-on-1 with head coach Dabo Swinney.

"The big thing is that he doesn't want me to coach me to be a better football player. He wants me to be a better person and a better man," Adams said.

The Clemson trip was Adams' second official visit. Before the trip to Tigertown, he visited Florida. This coming weekend, he'll head to Alabama. Georgia will host him a week later.

Official visit No. 5 is still up in the air, but Southern Cal and Auburn are the candidates to host him.

"I don't know yet…I don't know who it's going to be," he said.

Adams, who will announce his decision on signing day, offered no order of favorites.

As a senior, he finished with 127 tackles, 31 tackles for loss, and 7.5 sacks.

As a junior, Adams had 84 tackles, 45 tackles for loss, and 10 sacks. Top Stories
