More official visitors

Clemson will have five official visitors on campus this weekend. Three of the five have been offered preferred walk-on spots on the team.

The three potential preferred walk-ons are Daniel High School [Central] wide receiver Adrien Dunn, J.L. Mann High School[Greenville] tight end Zach Riggs and Summit High School [New Jersey] wide receiver Seth Ryan.

Dunn, who has already accepted his preferred walk-on offer, camped at Maryland this past summer after being invited to College Park by former Clemson assistant Andre Powell.

But, aside from Clemson and Maryland, Dunn heard mostly from Southern Conference schools during his recruitment.

Despite his 5-foot-8, 160-pound frame, Daniel head coach Randy Robinson raved about Dunn when CUTigers went on location last May.

"He's a ball player. I compare him to Adam Humphries," Robinson said. "He does a little bit of everything. We started him on defense. He was a slot receiver…we put him at running back [after] we lost depth at running back. He can do anything."

Riggs, the son of former Clemson tight end Jim Riggs, also garnered interest from Wake Forest and N.C. State. Furman, Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina and Elon also expressed interest in Riggs.

The son of New York Jets coach Rex Ryan, Seth has also taken a visit to Texas Tech. Like Clemson, the Red Raiders have offered him a spot on the team as a preferred walk-on. Top Stories
