The 2013 cornerback standout of Chaminade Madonna Prep (Hollywood, FL) will choose between Clemson and Oklahoma.
Adrian Baker has taken official visits to both Clemson and Oklahoma and he said there is a lot to like about each program.
"I had a great time at both schools, Oklahoma was fun, Clemson was fun. I got a chance to be around the guys and I hung out with Sammy Watkins and Travis Blanks at Clemson. I hung out with Julian Wilson and Aaron Colvin a lot at Oklahoma. I had a great time on both trips," Baker said.
"It's really going to come down to where I feel comfortable, where me and my family feel comfortable. I think both programs have a lot to offer, they both can better me on and off the field. Coach Stoops is kind of a legend and Coach Swinney has done a lot in his four years at Clemson, so it's really just going to come down to where I feel most comfortable and where I feel I can succeed."
The 6-foot-1, 165-pound defensive back sees a lot of opportunity for him to succeed in both defenses.
"I think I could fit in well with both programs," he said.
"Oklahoma, they're in the Big 12 so they play a lot of spread teams so they would have five or six DBs on the field at once so that's good. Coach Stoops has coached several Thorpe award winners so that's good too."
"Clemson, they're in the ACC, they play some spread teams so they'd use a lot of DBs too. Coach Venables, he just came from Oklahoma, so he's kind of bringing that over to Clemson. They just got Coach Mike Reed from NC State and he actually did coach for awhile with the Philadelphia Eagles so he definitely knows what he's talking about."
Baker said his grandma and his uncle will also be helping him work through his decision.
"They don't really have an opinion, they're kind of letting me make the decision but at the same time helping to put everything in perspective, such as education, playing time, environment, the genuineness of the coaches, and the players I'm going to be around," he said.
He'll announce on Signing Day at 10:45am in a ceremony at Chaminade Madonna Prep and he's ready to get it all over with.
"I'm excited, it was kind of a crazy recruiting process," Baker said.
