Instate freshman visits for Junior Day

Earlier this month, one of the top prospects in South Carolina's class of 2016, Bryan Edwards, made his first visit to Clemson.

The Conway High School prospect has already picked up offers from Clemson, South Carolina and Virginia Tech.

He broke down the trip to Tigertown earlier this week.

"I had a real good time up there. It was real nice up there," Edwards said.

The 6-foot-3, 180-pound prospect added, "I got to watch practice, tour the facilities, stuff like that."

What stood out? "Just how fast they practiced and how long they practiced."

Edwards spoke with several of the Clemson coaches, including Dabo Swinney, Jeff Scott and Danny Pearman.

"I didn't get much 1-on-1 time with the coaches, but I got to speak to them. I got to speak to a couple of the players. Coach Pearman and coach Scott, and I met coach Swinney," Edwards said.

And what was their message?

"They stressed education a lot. I liked that fact. Just working hard and stuff like that."

Clemson is the only visit Edwards has taken this spring. For now, it's the only trip he'll take.

As a freshman, he finished the season with 17 catches for 500 yards with nine touchdowns.
