The latest on Milan Richard

Over 20 schools have offered Milan Richard a verbal scholarship, but three schools are pursuing him harder than the rest right now. He talks about those, when he could commit, and more here...

"Right now Georgia, Clemson, and Tennessee are recruiting me the hardest," Milan Richard told Scout. "They are on me very hard right now."

Richard still hears from many schools, but those three have stepped it up.

Georgia picked things up back in February and Richard recently paid Athens a visit.

"I visited Georgia last Friday and Saturday and it was nice. I have been there so many times, but this visit was mainly about academics. It was very heavy academics and I liked it. I also got some time with the coaches, I watched some film, I met with the weight training coaches, and things like that too. Georgia has really been recruiting me hard, so it was good to get back up there."

Some feel this 6-foot-3, 225 pound tight end out of Savannah (Ga.) Calvary Day feels pressure to attend UGA because of his parents running track there and his uncle (Herschel Walker) playing football there.

That is not the case.

"I feel no pressure at all. Where I go to college is all my decision and my family will support me no matter what. I have no pressure to go to Georgia."

Many felt it would be an easy decision for Richard and that he would be committed right now, but that is not the case. He is taking his time so he does make the right choice.

"I want to make the right decision," he said. "I am not going to be one that de-commits once I commit. I am not sure when I will commit to be honest. I could wake up tomorrow, talk it over with my family, and then do it, I just don't know. I am just seeking the right decision."

He still does not have a real favorite list, but he did say Clemson, Georgia, and Tennessee are in hot pursuit. He talked about his trip to UGA, so what does he like about the Tigers and Vols?

"Clemson's offense is one thing I like. It is explosive. I also like the coaches there.

"I know Tennessee is going to throw it around, so I like that. I have developed a good relationship with Coach [Mark] Elder too. I will be visiting them on April 13."

Once Richard knows for sure which school is for him he will commit. Until then, he will keep taking visits, bonding with coaches, and searching.
