Is Watson's commitment solid?

DeShaun Watson committed to Clemson back in early 2012, but that has not stopped schools from pursuing him. He has visited other schools, talked to many coaches, and you can get the latest on his commitment to the Tigers here...

"I am solid with Clemson, I am 100-percent committed to them, and I just love Clemson University," Deshaun Watson told Scout. "Coach Swinney, Coach Morris, the atmosphere there, and everything about Clemson makes me feel good about my commitment. It is only an hour and 15 minutes away from home and I love Clemson."

Watson really likes the offense Clemson runs and that is one thing that really attracts him to the Tigers. Another college offense that he likes is Ohio State. The Buckeyes are hard after the four-star quarterback.

"I talk to Ohio State pretty regularly and they really want me to visit up there and to check them out. I am going to try hard to get up there this summer and spend a little time there."

The Buckeyes are actively recruiting him, but they know where Watson stands though.

"Ohio State is staying behind Clemson and the coaches that I talk to at Ohio State know my situation and how I am a strong Clemson commitment. I have interest in them and they are a school I am looking at, but they know where I stand right now."

Another school that is trying to get in the running for the No. 5 signal caller in the country is the school Clemson opens up the 2013 season with, Georgia.

Watson recently visited the in-state school.

"I went up to Georgia with my coach and it was my first time seeing their facilities, what type of system they run, and it was a good trip," he said.

"You can say I have medium level interest in Georgia right now. I like that they do there, but I am still committed to Clemson. I may visit Georgia again and you never know what can happen over the next year, so they are on my list."

Auburn, Florida State, and plenty of other schools are trying to get Watson away from the Tigers, but that is not going to easy.

The state champion out of Gainesville, Ga. can't even put into words what draws him to Clemson, S.C.

"I don't even know how to describe it. When I am at Clemson I feel like I am in Gainesville. I feel at home and that is very important. I love the people there, the fans, the atmosphere, the offense they run, and everything just seems perfect for me there right now."

Watson was named the top quarterback at the Elite 11 Regional Friday night in Buford, Ga. and he received an invite to the Elite 11 and to the The Opening that will be held in Oregon later this summer. Top Stories
