DL Albert Huggins Profile
Among the prospects that Hobby wanted to check on was 2015 defensive lineman Albert Huggins.
"He watched me max out today," Huggins told CUTigers on Wednesday night. "I got 370 [pounds] today on bench and 450 [pounds] squat."
Not bad numbers for a guy who isn't quite halfway through his high school career.
"I'm just a sophomore…so, yeah, I'm happy with those," Huggins said.
And Hobby probably was, too. Clemson was the second offer for the 6-foot-3, 280-pound prospect. Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Louisville, South Carolina and Tennessee have also sent offers.
So far this spring, coaches from South Carolina and Georgia have also been by the school.
"I heard Ohio State is supposed to be coming by. Alabama, I think, they're supposed to come, sometime during spring practice Alabama is supposed to come," Huggins said. "Clemson is supposed to come back down. UNC is supposed to come down."
This summer, Huggins will head down to Florida for the Friday Night Lights camp.
As a sophomore, Huggins had 64 tackles, four sacks and three fumble recoveries [one went for a touchdown].
