Another Jersey WR offered

The Clemson coaches already sent an offer to Englishtown four-star Saeed Blacknall, the top wide receiver in the state of New Jersey.

WR Adonis Jennings Profile

Earlier this week, defensive coordinator Brent Venables notified the second-highest rated Garden State wide receiver, Adonis Jennings that Clemson had offered.

Jennings, a three-star prospect at Timber Creek Regional High School [Erial], spoke with CUTigers on Wednesday night.

"My coach told me [about the offer], then he told me to call coach Venables, that's my recruiter. I talked to coach Venables for a while. He told me that I'm offered and they really like me a lot. They want me to come down there," he said.

Prior to the offer, there hadn't been much communication with Clemson, but Jennings spoke at length with Venables.

"I know that Clemson has a spread offense," Jennings said. "I know they're diverse with the ball. I know that coach [Dabo] Swinney is the coach and he used to coach the receivers. He's a receiver guy. I know that Clemson has a good atmosphere. It's a college town."

He will visit in the middle of June with teammate Kareem Ali, a 2015 cornerback who was Venables also offered this week.

What else is on tap for the summer?

"I'm not sure yet, but Clemson is definitely the first school I'm going to visit," Jennings said.

As a junior, he caught 40 passes for 500 yards with five touchdowns.

Scout.com ranks Jennings as the No. 62 wide receiver in the class of 2014.
