Multiple offers for Muse

Tanner Muse had a great sophomore season. Now, the Belmont (N.C.) South Point star's recruitment is gaining momentum.

Tanner Muse has seen his stock rise this spring and scholarship offers are starting to come in for the talented safety/linebacker.

"I have four offers right now – North Carolina State, UNC, Clemson and Georgia Tech," said Tanner Muse. "Georgia Tech was the most recent. Ohio State and ECU have also come by my school. Georgia has also sent me a few letters."

Muse has already taken some visits.

"I've been to all the schools that have offered me – to either their spring games – or games last fall," said the 6-foot-3, 210-pound Muse. "All the visits were great."

Clemson: "I went to their spring game and I liked the atmosphere. The town is really into their football program and they give a lot of support."

Georgia Tech: "I went down there last fall when they played Duke with one of my coaches and my family. The campus was really pretty."

North Carolina: "I got to go down there for their junior day and their coaches were really nice to me. They told me that they were really trying to keep guys in-state."

N.C. State: "I also went to their spring game and I got to talk to their head baseball coach about playing both sports. I like how they had the Kay Yow Spring Game for breast cancer – that was really cool."

The South Point standout will likely attend some camps this summer.

"We've talked about going to camps at Ohio State and Georgia," Muse said. "I might go to a couple others, but I'm not sure yet."

As for the fall, Muse said he knows he will go to games at all the schools that have offered. Muse is looking forward to a big junior season.

"I'm just going to try to help take my team as far as I can," he said. "I want to be a factor for the team and do everything I can to help."
