Earlier this week, Clemson defensive backs coach Mike Reed was in the Atlanta area making the rounds.

One of his stops was at Woodward Academy in College Park to check on 2014 wide receiver Terry Googer and 2015 safety Arrington Farrar. Both were offered by Clemson.

"My coach told me on Monday when coach Reed was here," Farrar told CUTigers in a recent interview.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound prospect has a connection to Clemson.

"I've heard, going up there, it's a really nice place. The campus is really nice. My stepdad went there," Farrar said.

So he's heard good things.

"He talks a lot about how he really liked it," Farrar said.

Though he wasn't able to hit the road this spring for any visits, Farrar has been on a few college campuses. South Carolina, Alabama and Notre Dame hosted him for visits last year.

To go along with Clemson, Farrar picked up three offers on Thursday -- Vanderbilt, Wisconsin and UConn. Ole Miss, South Carolina and West Virginia have also offered.

"I haven't even thought about my favorites. I'm just happy to have this many options as I do as a sophomore. It's a blessing," Farrar said.

As a sophomore, Farrar had 60 tackles and a tackle for loss. Top Stories
