Scott sees Bone

Jeff Scott was in the Spartanburg area last week to check in on some of the state's top prospects.

WR Blake Bone Profile

Among the players he visited was Woodruff High School junior wide receiver Blake Bone.

"We just talked about how everything was going. He was just glad to see me. We were just talking football and me getting down there for another visit," Bone told CUTigers in recent interview.

Bone, a three-star, last visit to Clemson was for the South Carolina game. He took spring visits to South Carolina, Ole Miss, Auburn, Kentucky and Tennessee.

He'll hit the road this summer, but nothing has been scheduled.

"I don't have anything set up really. I've got some plans that I would like to try to do. Nothing is set in stone. Of course, I'd love to get to some more colleges and check them out," Bone said.

Other than Clemson, South Carolina, Louisville, Tennessee and Marshall have stopped by Woodruff.

Bone's offers include Clemson, Kentucky, Louisville, Marshall, Ole Miss, UNC and South Carolina.

"I've narrowed some down, but I don't have a list of favorites yet. I haven't really thought where I'm going to sign," he said. "I'm going to ride it out and take some time."

As a junior, Bone caught 65 passes for 1,100 yards and 15 touchdowns.
