Pearman drops off an offer

On Wednesday, Clemson tight ends coach Danny Pearman was in south Georgia to stop by several high schools.

One of which was Thomas County Central to see 2014 running back Adam Choice and 2015 outside linebacker Austin Bryant.

Choice already has a Clemson offer, and he holds the Tigers in high regard.

Bryant received his offer on Wednesday.

"I was actually going to math class. I bumped into him at my coach's classroom," Bryant told CUTigers on Thursday.

They spoke afterwards.

"He told me that I have a home at Clemson and he wanted me to come up to camp," Bryant said.

He added, "I wasn't expecting to get an offer. I thought he was just going invite me to camp and call, just like every other coach has, but he offered. I was pretty excited."

Bryant isn't certain whether or not he'll make it up to Clemson next month for the Dabo Swinney Football Camp.

"I'm going to try, but I'm not going to make any promises, because I don't know what's going to be going on with the team at that time," Bryant said.

Clemson was offer No. 4 for the 6-foot-4, 225-pound prospect. Florida State, Georgia Tech and Ole Miss had already offered.

"I have no favorites at this point. It's wide-open," he said.

As a sophomore, Bryant had 106 tackles, two forced fumbles, a pass breakup and a blocked punt.
