The Clemson campus was nice, too.

"I like the campus a lot. It's not too far from home for me. I enjoyed the community and all that. It's very modernized," he said.

Before Clemson, Thomas' only college visit was to Georgia Tech. He's planning to attend Dawg Night at Georgia later this summer.

Vanderbilt and Georgia Tech have offered.

Thomas expects to play outside linebacker in college, but he's also played wide receiver in high school.

"So far, when I'm being recruited, that's what everybody is telling me. So it's outside linebacker," he said. Top Stories
