CUTigers' Top 25 in '13: No. 19

Corey Crawford will be a junior this fall. And he'll also be one of the most experienced players along the Clemson defensive line.

CUTigers continues a list of the 25 players we think will have the most productive seasons in 2013.

No. 19

DE Corey Crawford, Junior
Before arriving to Clemson, Crawford spent a post-graduate season at Hargrave Military Academy. At Carver High School in Columbus, Ga., Crawford was ranked by as the No. 18 defensive end in the class of 2010.

The Resume

Crawford saw a significant jump in playing time from year one and two at Clemson. During his freshman season, Crawford registered 29 tackles and two tackles for loss in 252 snaps over 14 games.

As a sophomore, Crawford started all 13 games. In his 575 snaps, he had 47 tackles, six tackles for loss, a sack and six quarterback pressures.

Moving Forward

After the post-spring depth chart was released, Crawford was listed as a co-starter with redshirt junior Tavaris Barnes. Along with those two at the left defensive end position is freshman Shaquille Lawson.

Since Victor Beasley developed a reputation as a pass rushing specialist last season, that could allow for Crawford and whomever else lines up opposite of Beasley more shots at opposing quarterbacks.
