CUTigers' Top 25 in '13: No. 16

The first of four wide receivers is up in our top 25 in 2013 countdown checks in at 16. This junior wears the No. 19.

CUTigers continues the list of the 25 players we think will have the most productive seasons in 2013.

No. 16

WR Charone Peake, Junior
After serving as Jaron Brown's backup for each of the last two seasons, Peake is poised for what could be a breakout junior campaign.

The Resume

Peake played 245 snaps during his first season on campus. The former four-star recruit caught only four passes for 71 yards that year.

But with an increased amount of playing time in 2012, Peake saw a dramatic jump in his stats. In 417 snaps, he caught 25 passes for 172 yards and two touchdowns.

Moving Forward

Listed as the starter at the 5-position, walk-on Matt Porter was the only player working behind Peake during spring practice. This fall, freshmen Kyrin Priester -- assuming he gets the OK by the NCAA Clearinghouse -- and T.J. Green will compete for time behind Peake.
