CB Minkah Fitzpatrick Profile
St. Peters Prep School [Jersey City, N.J.] rising junior Minkah Fitzpatrick is planning to visit both instate schools.
"On the 26th I'm going to be camping at South Carolina and I'll be visiting Clemson," he told CUTigers during a recent interview.
Fitzpatrick has yet to set a date for the Clemson trip.
"I'll be scheduling that with the coaches sometime soon," he said.
What does he know about Clemson?
"It's in the ACC, which is in the great conference. I've heard a lot of great things about the school from the kids that I've been training with and competing against. It's just a great all-around school."
This past weekend, Fitzpatrick visited Alabama and Vanderbilt.
"At the beginning, I was planning on doing all four of those trips in one. I realized it would have been too hectic to do all of that," he said.
With over 10 offers to his name, Fitzpatrick does not have any favorites.
"It's too early," he said.
Several factors will be considered when he is ready to start thinking in those terms.
"Some of the things that will be important to me…the competitiveness of the schedule, because I don't want to go somewhere that has a weak schedule," Fitzpatrick said. "Also, the coaching, that's definitely important. The relationships between the coaches and the players and the training program, that's very important to me."
On the offensive side of the ball, he had 36 carries for 476 yards. Fitzpatrick had 21 tackles, 12 pass breakups and two interceptions.
