CUTigers' Top 25 in '13: No. 13

After looking at a former defensive tackle, it's time to take a look at a few current defensive tackles on our list. Up next is Grady Jarrett.

CUTigers continues the list of the 25 players we think will have the most productive seasons in 2013.

No. 13

DT Grady Jarrett, Junior
Back when Jarrett was a three-star prospect at Rockdale County High School, we felt he was one of the most underrated additions made by Clemson during the 2011 recruiting haul.

The Resume

A starter in half of the games he's appeared in while in Tigertown, Jarrett has played 573 snaps over 22 games. Most of that playing time was logged in 2012.

Last season, Jarrett recorded 49 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss and two sacks in 512 snaps. A starter in 11 of 13 games, Jarrett was named All-ACC honorable mention by the coaches.

Moving Forward

While Jarrett's listed height of 6-foot-1 might be a bit generous, he was productive during his first true season on the field. The 290-pound junior is still very capable when comes to plugging gaps, occupying blockers and making plays against the run.

Still a starter after spring practice, Jarrett and every other defensive tackle from last year's rotation will be back in 2013. Like last season, Jarrett, Josh Watson, DeShawn Williams and D.J. Reader are expected to log a majority of the snaps at defensive tackle for the Tigers.
