CUTigers' Top 25: The CatMan

After rattling off three-straight defensive tackles, up next is senior placekicker Chandler Catanzaro.

CUTigers continues the list of the 25 players we think will have the most productive seasons in 2013.

No. 11

PK Chandler Catanzaro, Redshirt Senior
With his 111 points in 2012, Catanzaro, a former walk-on, led all Clemson scorers with 11 points. He capped the second-team All-ACC campaign with a 37-yard make as time expired in the Chick-fil-A Bowl.

The Resume

As a redshirt junior, Catanzaro connected on 18 of 19 field goals and hit 57 extra-points. He and DeAndre Hopkins were the only Tigers to score more than 100 points last season.

Catanzaro is second in school history in kick scoring, second in extra-points made, third in scoring and fifth in field goals.

Over the course of the last two seasons, he set a Clemson record with 20-straight field goals. The streak is also the fourth-longest in ACC history.

Moving Forward

Despite missing a couple of extra-points and a field goal during the Orange and White spring game, there is little doubt as to who will be kicking field goals for Clemson in 2013.

With the status of Ammon Lakip in the air, Bradley Pinion is the only other scholarship kicker on the Clemson roster, and he's expected to handle punting and kickoff duties.

Clemson has a commitment from Alex Spence, a three-star rising senior from West Florence. Top Stories
