First time in Clemson

After facing off with one of the top running backs in the country, this junior linebacker made a visit down to Clemson.

Rahshan Jones visited Clemson with his teammate Marcus Lewis, a 2015 cornerback with an offer from the Tigers.

A 5-foot-11, 190-pound linebacker at Gonzaga High School in Washington, D.C., Jones had 13 tackles against Charlotte Catholic last Saturday night.

"I really love Clemson. I've been on a lot of visits and I think Clemson is one of the nicest facilities that I've been to," Jones told CUTigers earlier this week.

"To top it off, the education is great there. It was just a great time. Hopefully, I can get in touch with the coaches and make something happen."

In addition to Clemson, Jones has taken trips to Rutgers, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland and Temple.

The night before his visit to Tigertown, Jones squared off with four-star running back Elijah Hood.

"It was a great challenge. I think I did real well against one of the top players in the nation, so I can be proud of myself. I had a pretty good game, despite the loss," Jones said.

As a sophomore Jones had 75 tackles and an interception.

Clemson defensive backs coach Mike Reed serves as the recruiter of note for Jones. Top Stories
