State's top CB visits Clemson

Kaleb Chalmers might be the best cornerback in the state of South Carolina, regardless of age or grade level.

CB Kaleb Chalmers Profile

The Greenwood High School junior recently made another visit to Clemson. He was one of several highly-regarded prospects that tripped to Tigertown for the Georgia game.

"It was exciting to see the fans. It was a good game," he told CUTigers.

Chalmers added, "It was great. The fans were into the whole game. It was a good game. It was loud. It was great."

He spoke with Mike Reed and Jeff Scott.

"[Reed] was just asking me how I played Friday and when I was coming back, things like that," Chalmers said.

With offers from Clemson, Duke, UNC, South Carolina and Stanford, he'll hit the road again later this fall.

"We're planning on getting back to Clemson, going to a Tennessee game, South Carolina and Georgia, a Duke game. I think that's about it," Chalmers said.

He has no list of favorites. It will be another several months before he reaches that decision.

"Going into my senior year," Chalmers said.
