Father and son were in Clemson for the Georgia game. CUTigers recently caught up with the younger Sylvester Mayers to discuss that visit.

"Being at the game was exciting, [because] how big the game was," he said. The stadium, the crowd everything was great about the whole, entire experience.

"To see the PAW walk going on, being on the sidelines before the game to see them warm-up, all of it was a great experience. I hope to get to do it again sometime."

The Mayers were joined by five-star outside linebacker Rickey DeBerry. Brent Venables and Tony Elliott met with the group.

"We got to talk to coach Venables and coach Elliott before the game. After the PAW walk, they came up into the players' lounge and got to talk to them," Mayers said.

How'd the conversations go?

"It was kind of normal conversation. It wasn't really recruit talk or anything like that. It was just a normal conversation going on."

In Glen Allen's last outing, a 25-23 win over Tucker, Mayers had 18 carries for 97 yards and two touchdowns. Top Stories
