It will be the first career start for Jayron Kearse, a former four-star high school prospect, according to Scout.com.
He'll take over for Travis Blanks, who suffered a knee injury last Saturday against Syracuse. Blanks will be available to play, but is expected to remain on the sideline.
"We'd like to be able to hold him, if we could," Swinney said. "But I don't know that we'll be able to do that. We'll start out with Jayron and see how he does."
Kearse has played 119 snaps over four games this season and has 16 tackles and an interception.
In 75 snaps against Syracuse, he had eight tackles and an interception.
